    The expected effects of teaching in terms of:\u00a0 knowledge, skills and social qualifications<\/td>\nPh. D. student is supposed to:<\/p>\n

    1.Gain knowledge in several aspects of philosophy, especially bioethics and philosophy of science.<\/p>\n

    In particular, the following specific topics will be elaborated:<\/p>\n

    – basic philosophical vocabulary<\/p>\n

    – the history of the development of philosophical thought<\/p>\n

    – practical philosophy<\/p>\n

    – dispute of empiricism and rationalism<\/p>\n

    – definitions of the term \u201ctruth\u201d<\/p>\n

    – philosophy of physics and philosophy of biology as two different paradigms<\/p>\n

    – reductionism and anti-reductionism in philosophy of medicine<\/p>\n

    – formulating reference classes that relate to social categories (on the example of the use of racial categories in biomedical research).<\/p>\n

    – the category of fairness in biomedical research.<\/p>\n

    2. Get familiar with contemporary philosophical discussions.<\/p>\n

    3. Learn how to formulate philosophical arguments and questions.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
