The I\"instytut_nowe_zdjecie\"<\/a>nstitute of Human Genetics, Polish Academy of Sciences (IHG PAS) was founded in 1974, and until 2003 operated under the name of the Department of Human Genetics, PAS.<\/p>\n

The Institute has the right to confer doctoral degrees (since 2002) and habilitations (since 2010) in the field of medical sciences in the discipline of medical biology and postdoctoral medical sciences in the discipline of medical biology.<\/p>\n

The Institute is the leading centre for human genetics research in Poland and a valued partner in scientific cooperation with many institutions in the country and abroad.<\/p>\n

The main research areas of the Institute include molecular genetics, cytogenetics, cellular pathology, cancer genetics, and reproductive biology. In recent years, the Institute has also been developing innovative fields such as transgenesis, epigenetics, genomics, transcriptomics, and proteomics. The genetic research conducted at the Institute not only focuses on expanding fundamental knowledge but also finds practical applications in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases through extensive collaboration with medical institutions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
