It is estimated that the so-called male factor currently accounts for 30\u201340% of all infertility cases. The Department\u2019s research activities are based on a comprehensive experimental approach to men experiencing reproductive failure, taking their karyotypes into account. The studies include the characterization of the genetic content of germ cells, as well as the epigenetic and biochemical quality of sperm, which are essential for the course of spermatogenesis.
