    \nProject title: \u201e<\/strong> Functional dissection of IGH regulatory regions in B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma\u201d<\/strong>Characteristic feature of B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma are recurrent translocations juxtaposing an oncogene (e.g. MYC, BCL2) to the regulatory regions of immunoglobulin heavy chain (IGH) locus. Survival and proliferation of many B-cell lymphomas depends on the expression of the translocated oncogene and on signaling from B-cell receptor expressed from the other functional IGH allele. IGH regulatory elements have been studied in normal B-cell development, but their role in human cancer cells has not been defined. The goal of this project is to identify and characterize the functional elements in IGH regulatory regions and enhancer RNAs (eRNA) essential for B-cell lymphoma cell growth. \u00a0We will use state of the art techniques such as RISPR\/Cas9 screens, GRO-seq, chromatin immunoprecipitation. This project will be performed in collaboration with scientists from the Netherlands and the US.Key project tasks:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    1. Cloning of the CRISPR-IGH library targeting the IGH regulatory regions.<\/li>\n
    2. Performing screens with the CRISPR-IGH library in B-cell lymphoma cell lines and data analysis.<\/li>\n
    3. Functional follow-up experiments.<\/li>\n
    4. Supervising master students.<\/li>\n
    5. Writing scientific papers, presenting results on seminars and conferences.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
      The project \u2018Functional dissection of IGH regulatory regions in B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma\u2019 is carried out within the FIRST-TEAM programme of the Foundation for Polish Science co-financed by the European Union under the European Regional Development Fund.<\/em><\/h5>\n

      1. Master degree in molecular biology, biotechnology, genetics, medicine or related field.<\/li>\n
      2. Background in molecular biology.<\/li>\n
      3. Experience in RNA, DNA, cell culture and molecular biology techniques.<\/li>\n
      4. Very good written and oral communication skills in English.<\/li>\n
      5. Motivation and enthusiasm to work in science.<\/li>\n
      6. Good collaborative and team work skills.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            V. Announcement of results<\/strong><\/p>\n

            Up to 30 days after the deadline of documents submission. Selected candidates will be invited for an interview.<\/p>\n

            VI. Appeal procedure. <\/strong><\/p>\n

            Candidates who have been negatively evaluated by the Competition Commission have the right to appeal\u00a0 against\u00a0 the\u00a0 results\u00a0 of\u00a0 the\u00a0 assessment.\u00a0 The\u00a0 appeal\u00a0 is\u00a0 submitted\u00a0 to\u00a0 the\u00a0 Director\u00a0 of\u00a0 the Institute within 7 days from the date of receipt of negative feedback from the Competition Commission. The decision of the Director of the Institute is final.<\/p>\n

            1. Period of involvement in research project: 01.03.2019-28.02.2022<\/li>\n

            3. The condition for financing a person selected in the competition is acceptance by the Foundation for Polish Science of the recruitment protocol.<\/li>\n
