Director of the Institute of Human Genetics, Polish Academy of Sciences (IHG PAS) announces an open competition for the position of adjunct (post-doc)<\/strong> in the Department of Reproductive Biology and Stem Cells\u00a0 of the IHG PAS.<\/p>\n

The competition is open to persons who meet the conditions set out in the Act of 30 April 2010 on the\u00a0 Polish Academy of Sciences (Journal of Laws of 2016, item 572, as amended) and the Regulations for\u00a0 conducting competitions for scientific positions at the Institute of Human Genetics, Polish Academy of\u00a0 Sciences in Poznan.<\/p>\n

    \nThe candidate will participate in interdisciplinary research related to\u00a0 with grant projects carried out in the plant related to diseases with genetic background using biological systemic methodology, animal model systems, as well as research related to stem cells, tissue engineering and its application in medicine.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    2. Skills in cell culture, experience in molecular biology techniques, working with RNA, DNA, protein product expression<\/li>\n
    3. Knowledge of basis molecular biology, analytical and measuring techniques<\/li>\n
    4. Fluent oral and written English language skills<\/li>\n
    5. Self-motivation to scientific work, problem-solving skills<\/li>\n
    6. Good collaborative and team works skills<\/li>\n
    7. Supervising PhD and master student<\/li>\n
    8. Writing scientific papers, presenting results on seminars and conferences<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

Creativity measured\u00a0 by\u00a0 the\u00a0 quality\u00a0 and\u00a0 number\u00a0 of\u00a0 scientific\u00a0 publications\u00a0 in\u00a0 which\u00a0 the candidate\u00a0 is\u00a0 the\u00a0 first\u00a0 author,\u00a0 corresponding\u00a0 author,\u00a0 or\u00a0 significant\u00a0 author,\u00a0 together\u00a0 with patent applications\/patents and\/or implementations,<\/li>\n
        2. Mobility in their scientific\u00a0 career\u00a0 (including completed academic\u00a0 internships,\u00a0 change\u00a0 of scientific profile, internships and work in industry),<\/li>\n
        3. The number\u00a0 of\u00a0 citations\u00a0 of\u00a0 the\u00a0 candidate’s\u00a0 publications,\u00a0 especially\u00a0 those\u00a0 in\u00a0 which\u00a0 the candidate is the first author, corresponding author or significant author,<\/li>\n
        4. Creativity measured by the quality and number of managed research projects,<\/li>\n
        5. An opinion of an independent researcher (R3-R4) or\/and other reference,<\/li>\n

          V. Announcement of results<\/strong><\/p>\n

          Up to 30 days after the deadline of documents submission.<\/p>\n

          VI. Planned period of employment: <\/strong>from 1 January 2020 – employment contract for 2 years (three \u2013 month trial period included).<\/p>\n

          VII. Appeal procedure<\/strong><\/p>\n

          Candidates who have been negatively evaluated by the Competition Commission have the right to appeal\u00a0 against\u00a0 the\u00a0 results\u00a0 of\u00a0 the\u00a0 assessment.\u00a0 The\u00a0 appeal\u00a0 is\u00a0 submitted\u00a0 to\u00a0 the\u00a0 Director\u00a0 of\u00a0 the Institute within 7 days from the date of receipt of negative feedback from the Competition Commission. The decision of the Director of the Institute is final.<\/p>\n
