The First Poznań TBR-owka: ‘Mouse model in male infertility’

On March 20, 2023, at the Institute of Human Genetics, Polish Academy of Sciences in Poznań, the First Poznań TBR-owka: ‘Mouse model in male infertility’ was held. It was a one-day meeting organized by the Poznań Branch of the Society for Biology of Reproduction, including a mini-symposium combined with a workshop.

As part of the mini-symposium, 4 lectures were delivered:
1. Rim Ibrahim: “Spermatogenesis: Mouse vs. human”
2. Agnieszka Malcher: “Mouse model in azoospermia research”
3. Marta Olszewska: “Asthenozoospermia in a model approach”
4. Marzena Kamieniczna: “Mouse semen analysis”

The workshop included hands-on learning of mouse semen analysis. Twelve people from three Poznań research centers took part: Institute of Human Genetics PAS, University of Life Sciences and Wielkopolskie Center of Advanced Technologies at the Adam Mickiewicz University. Microscopic support (Leica) was provided by Cell Service from Poznań. Institute of Human Genetics PAS was a co-organizer of the event.
