The Institute of Human Genetics of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Poznań was granted ‘HR Excellence in Research Award’. The European Commission recognizes with the ‘HR Excellence in Research Award’ institutions which make progress in aligning their human resources policies to the principles of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers.
The benefits of having the ‘HR Excellence in Research Award’ include increasing the attractiveness of employment in a research institution, which creates a friendly environment for scientific work and respects transparent rules concerning recruiting employees. The fact of having ‘HR Excellence in Research Award’ was important in the process of evaluation of the entity. It is also a confirmation of the institutions’ readiness to apply for and implement scientific projects within the framework of national and international calls for proposals.
Granting the ‘HR Excellence in Research Award’ is one of the activities of the European Commission within the Human Resources Strategy for Researchers aimed at increasing the attractiveness of working conditions for researchers in the European Union, as well as standardization of procedures related to the conduct of scientific research.
