Taking a sample	Testing of individuals is performed at their order. The specimen for SARS-CoV-2 and influenza virus infections is an upper respiratory tract swab.
The test	In the detection of SARS-CoV-2 virus, the occurrence of viral sequences is investigated using real time RT-PCR (real-time RT-PCR). Influenza virus infections are detected on the basis of identification of sequences characteristic for influenza A or B. The tests used in the laboratory are CE-IVD certified. The examination is carried out in accordance with WHO recommendations. The COVID-19 laboratory is an entity conducting medical activity and is registered on the COVID Laboratory List of the Ministry of Health.
The result	The result (also possible in English) is issued in the form of a test report containing the data of the tested person and the result of the test, confirmed with the signature and stamp of the laboratory diagnostician (with the number of the right to practice). The result can be delivered by e-mail. Collection of the material until 12:00 – result within 8 hours. Collection after noon – result the next day after noon. Positive results are reported to the appropriate Voivodship Sanitary and Epidemiological Station

How quickly do we receive the result?

The result of the test from the intake until noon is the same day, the intake after noon – the result the next day in the afternoon.

Can the result be in English?

Yes, the result can be issued in English.

Can the result be sent by email?

Yes, the result can be sent as a pdf to an email address.

Where can I collect the result?

The result can be collected at the Institute of Human Genetics PAS in Poznań, 32 Strzeszyńska Street, 60-479 Poznań.

Are the results recognized by airlines?

Yes, the results obtained from the COVID-19 Diagnostic Laboratory are recognized by airlines.

Every day the Laboratory reports all positive results to the Voivodship Sanitary and Epidemiological Station and to the EWP system.

Under the contract with the National Health Fund the laboratory is currently servicing only the Collection Point on Lutycka Street in Poznañ. Tests are carried out without delay, and all information about the test results is provided by the person ordering the test in this system (first-contact doctor).

Our phones are not a hotline regarding the procedure after finding the infection.

The laboratory does not supervise any services or institutions. This is not the place to direct any comments concerning their proper functioning.
