The Institute of Human Genetics at the Polish Academy of Sciences in Poznan is recognized as an important centre of postgraduate education. It runs an International Ph.D. Programme through the medium of English, which provides young people with the opportunity to improve their knowledge and skills in the medical sciences, with a particular focus on human genetics. It also supports various forms of collaboration with Polish and foreign scholars, and thereby cordially invites graduate students, including foreign students, to obtain further information regarding our recruitment procedure. Our aim is to provide graduate students with the opportunity to carry out their Ph.D. studies in the field of human molecular genetics. This includes instructing them in cutting edge methodologies, such as CRISPRCas9, PAR-CLIP, Chromatin immunoprecipitation, mass spectrometry for proteomic analysis, single cell RNA-Seq, as well as bioinformatic tools for large dataset analysis. All Institute teachers are highly qualified specialists within their respective fields.
There are two routes into our Ph.D. Programme:
- by starting a Ph.D. within the framework of the doctoral scholarships provided
- by joining it while pursuing a Ph.D. project in another institution.
