Graduate of the Faculty of Biology at Adam Mickiewicz University (UAM) in Poznań and the Faculty of Commodity Science at the Poznań University of Economics (UE). She completed her bachelor’s thesis on resistance integrons in bacteria found in surface waters in Biotechnology at the Department of Microbiology at UAM. Subsequently, at the Department of Genetics, she conducted research on the genetic variability of mites using barcode sequences and obtained a master’s degree. She completed her second degree at the UE in the field of Management and Production Engineering, specializing in product quality management, earning the professional title of Master of Engineering. Her engineering and master’s theses, carried out at the Department of Natural Foundations of Quality, focused on the identification of environmental and pathogenic bacterial strains. During her interdisciplinary doctoral studies at the Faculty of Biology at UAM and the Institute of Dendrology of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Kórnik, she developed technical expertise in the application of next-generation sequencing to assess species variability in fungi and devised bioinformatics analysis approaches using R software to determine their taxonomic structure. In October 2024, she obtained her PhD in Biological Sciences.
Her scientific interests have developed towards metagenomics and its application in microbiology and mycology. Currently, as part of RCMC, she is involved in the implementation of new molecular and bioinformatics analysis techniques for studying genotype-phenotype correlations in severe obesity, cardiovascular diseases, and diseases within the pediatric population, with a particular focus on microbiome function. Additionally, she is engaged in creating a DNA sample repository and implementing ISO 9001 standards in analytical and research processes.
