Announcement on recruitment for mobility within the PROM International Scholarship Exchange of  Doctoral Students and academic staff

 

The recruitment concerns outgoing and incoming mobility to the Institute of Human Genetics PAS and is addressed to doctoral students of IHG PAS and  doctoral students from foreign universities and research institutes.

Applications may include:

for PhD students of IHG PAS

  • active participation in a conference abroad (at least poster or flash talk)
  • participation in a specialised course/training
  • study visit or one-month training stay in a foreign institution in order to acquire material for a doctoral thesis/international experience
    participation in a summer school/winter school (both as a student of the school and as a tutor) in order to acquire knowledge and improve skills necessary to prepare a doctoral thesis;
  • participation in training courses (including training in entrepreneurship or implementation activities), with the aim of improving skills that can be used for the development of a scientific career.

for foreign PhD students:

  • study visits to IGC PAN lasting up to 7 days (
  • one – month (30 days) training stays

The mobility has to be completed until 15th October 2022.

Read the PROM regulations regarding recruitment and participation. Exchange participants receive a scholarship for costs of stay and travel to Poland according to rates specified by the PROM program.

Required documents in the recruitment process:

  • Application form,
  • confirmation of acceptance by the foreign institution/event organiser (in case of outgoing PhD students)
  • CV (in case of one-month stays)
  • certificate of doctoral student status (issued by the home institution, for incoming PhD students).

Formal criteria:

  • possession of doctoral student status, confirmed by the unit providing the education;
  • level of English language required to participate in mobility (at least B1), confirmed by home institution (institution/plant – signature on the application form);
  • age below 40 years.

Substantive criteria:

1)Participation in conferences:
(a) relevance of the conference topic to the intended goals of the dissertation (0-6 points);
b) importance of participation in the conference for the applicant’s scientific and professional development (0-3 points).

2) Participation in specialized courses/summer or winter schools/training:
(a) importance of participation in the course or training to the applicant’s academic and professional development (0-6 points);
(b) importance of participation in the course or training to the research group of which the applicant is a member (0-3 points).

3) Participation in one month mobility for training and study visits:
(a) relevance of participation in the mobility to the dissertation/research objectives (0-6 points);
(b) significance of the participation in the monthly stay/study visit for the applicant’s academic and professional development (0-3 points)

COVID-19 Information for travelers

Institute’s regulations:

  • guests vaccinated with vaccines recognized in the European Union can enter the Insititute without any additional requirements
  • guest not vaccinated or vaccinated with other vaccines are required to make free of charge COVID-19 test in our laboratory. The test will be scheduled individually.
