I have been working in the Institute of Human Genetics PAS since 2008. As a PhD student I performed functional studies of heterozygous mutations in the NBN gene, which encodes a protein involved in DNA double-strand break repair. After obtaining PhD in 2012, I moved to study the non-coding RNAs in hematological malignancies. In 2015-2016 I was a post-doctoral fellow at the University Medical Centre Groningen, the Netherlands, in the group of prof. Anke van den Berg. I studied the role of microRNA and long non-coding RNA in B-cell lymphoma. Back in the Institute, I continue this line of research in collaboration with prof. van den Berg. I am particularly interested in MYC-regulated non-coding RNA and to study them I use high-throughput screening approaches using shRNA and CRISPR/Cas9.
