Dr. Oliwia Zakerska-Banaszak has received an EMBO Scientific Exchange Grant from the European Molecular Biology Organization for a research internship in the laboratory of Dr. Verónica Lloréns-Rico at The Príncipe Felipe Research Center in Valencia, Spain. The three-month research stay, beginning in June, will be devoted to investigating the mechanisms of microbiota regulation in the host, using irritable bowel syndrome as an example.
