START grant for Agnieszka Zimna, PhD
For the 27th time, the Foundation for Polish Science awarded START scholarships to the most talented young scientists from all over Poland. This year, 100 young researchers will receive it, including Agnieszka Zimna, PhD from the Department of Reproductive Biology and Stem Cells.

Alicja Rabiasz – PhD student at the Department of Molecular and Clinical Genetics was awarded for the best oral presentation entitled “Identification of genes potentially involved in the pathogenesis of primary ciliary dyskinesia”
Prof. Ryszard Słomski awarded by the Polish Society of Gastroenterology
In 1977, the Polish Society of Gastroenterology was selected from the Society of Polish Internists and on this occasion a brass medal commemorating the event was minted. This commemorative medal was awarded to prof. Ryszard Słomski on March 15, 2019
Master’s thesis Award
MSc. eng. Ewelina Kowal from the Departament of Cancer Genetics was awarded the Professor Jerzy Zwoliński first degree prize in the competition for the best master’s thesis written in the academic year 2017/2018 at the Poznan University of Life Sciences.

Nomination for the Polish Intelligent Development Award 2019
Dr. Iwona Ziółkowska-Suchanek from Department of Molecular Pathology was nominated for the Polish Intelligent Development Award 2019, for implementation of the project entitled “The FAM13A gene silencing effect on lung cancer cells”.
