W dniu 19 maja nasz Instytut odwiedził prof. John DiGiovanni z University of Texas, Austin, College of Pharmacy. 
Prof. DiGiovanni jest członkiem Cancer Development and Progression Research Program of the Cancer Treatment and Research Cenetr at the University of Texas Health Sciences at San Antonio (an NCI Designated Cancer Center) oraz the Chemo-Dietary Prevention Study Section of the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Jest redaktorem naczelnym czasopisma “Molecular Carcinogenesis”.
Prof. DiGiovanni spotkał się z Dyrektorem Instytutu prof. Michałem Wittem oraz odbył roboczą naradę z członkami Zakładu Genetyki Nowotworów. Tego samego dnia wygłosił dwa wykładu na Uniwersytecie Medycznym w Poznaniu.
